Mercer Eye Associates, formerly Montana, Weinstock, Ellis, & Chiang, PA, has a long tradition of providing the highest level of ophthalmic care in Mercer County.
History of Our Practice
Dr. Jerome Montana was the standard of excellence in ophthalmologic surgery and diagnosis in this area for more than 35 years, until his retirement in December, 2003. Dr. Floyd Weinstock joined Dr. Montana in 1983 and continued the tradition of providing superlative care with compassion. He died tragically in August, 2007, at the pinnacle of his professional and personal life. Dr. Steven Ellis joined the practice in 1991 and has remained committed to maintaining the level of care expected by our patients. Dr. Robert Chiang joined us in August, 2003, and has provided a new energy and state of the art care with a friendly approach. Most recently, we welcomed Dr. Elad Feldman who will practice general ophthalmology but is also fellowship-trained in corneal diseases and surgery.
Mercer Eye Associates, based on our reputation of excellence in surgical and medical ophthalmic care, continues to receive referrals from numerous medical professionals and optometrists in the area. Their confidence is greatly appreciated and is not taken for granted. Quality eye care is often a team effort.
The approach of Drs. Ellis, Chiang, Feldman and the entire staff are friendly and supportive. We take time to know our patients and their families. We understand the high value that patients place in maintaining their vision and the major role their ophthalmologist plays in this process. The ultimate satisfaction for us is when a patient shows their confidence by allowing us to provide their ophthalmic care for a lifetime or to operate on their eye and achieve an excellent surgical outcome.
We look forward to continuing to serve our existing family of patients and hope to meet many of you who have not been seen in our practice in the near future.
Our Staff
The staff of Mercer Eye Associates is dedicated to providing compassionate, friendly, professional care for your eyes. Many of the familiar faces you’ll see while at Mercer Eye have been with our practice for over 20 years. Well trained staff members have completed certification in ophthalmic eye care and attend seminars to stay current with new technology and the latest education in eye care.
Office Hours
Regular office hours are Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
There is always a doctor available for emergency calls.
Scheduling Appointments
Due to our high call volume and caring for patients at the time of their appointment, we ask that you leave a message on our voice mail system by calling (609) 450-7300. One of our team members will return all emergency calls the same day and all non-emergency calls within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.
After 4 pm and on the weekends a doctor is available by calling our after hours line.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. This courtesy, on your part, will make it possible to give your appointment to another patient.
